今日は室木小学校で行われた「あそびの森」に参加させていただきました。１１月のテーマは【木のおもちゃとピタゴラスイッチ】

北九州の「木のおもちゃ工房」よりお見えになった湯本桂ニ（ゆもとけいじ）さんは、車に沢山のおもちゃを積み、奥さまとご一緒に手作りおもちゃの素晴らしさを伝えるため、全国を廻る「おもちゃツアー」をされています。

We joined Asobinomori today. This month theme was "Hand made toys and Pitagora Switch"

Today's guest, Mr. Yumoto is from "Kinoomocha Koubou" in Kitakyushuu. He packs his toys in a van to travel all over Japan to introduce the fun of his hand made wooden toys.

低学年生は、湯本さんの手作りおもちゃで遊び、高学年生は班に分かれて、分解されたピタゴラスイッチの装置を協力して組み立てました。はじめは何度も失敗しながら、湯本さんのお友達の方々にもお手伝いいただき、最後は全員成功させることができました！

The lower graders played with Mr. Yumoto's hand made toys while the upper graders build up the Pitagora Switch" in groups. They tried so many times to make it work, but everyone have succeeded at the end!

手作りのおもちゃの素朴な温かみと、みんなで協力して完成させたスイッチ装置。今回もとても楽しいあそびの森でした。

With the fun of handmade toys and the switches which we build together, we had wonderful time at Asobinomori.

鞍手に来て２年になるというジェフリー・ジョーダンさんとお会いしました。イギリスのロンドンからALT（外国語指導助手）として来日され、鞍手の小中学校で英語を教えていらっしゃいます。日本語も流暢で、とても気さくな好青年。きっと学校でもみんなの人気者です！

We had a chance to meet Jeffrey Jordan who has been living in Kurate for 2 years as Assistant Language Teacher. He teaches English at elementary and Jr. high schools in Kurate. He is friendly and very nice guy! His Japanese is amazing only after 2 years of being here. We are sure that everyone loves him in his classes! Nice to meet you, Jeff!!!

今朝は室木小学校にて、看板の修復作業の続きをしました。朝日を浴びながらモリモリ作業をしました〜♬

We continued fixing the signs at Muroki elementary school! Working in the morning sun felt so nice〜♬

作業の後は、職員室で先生方とご一緒に、美味しい給食をいただきました！本日のメニューは、ハンバーグ、沢庵のキムチ炒め ＆ 野菜スープでした。

ごちそうさまでした！

After work, we had lunch at the school! It's been years since we had school lunch, and they brought back the childhood memories. We had nice lunch time!

今朝、室木公民館でヨガ教室をさせていただきました。
室木老人会の方々と、ゆっくりと呼吸をながら体を動かし、楽しく気持ちの良いひと時となりました。

This morning, we had a yoga class with the members of elder meeting at a local community house. We had great time together exercising our bodies with deep breathing.

みなさん熱心に参加していただき、こちらも気合が入ります！！！
Everyone participated with such great motivations!!!

最年長の井上さん。なんとなんと９３歳！
最後までみなさんとご一緒に参加され、とてもお元気で明るいおばあちゃんです～

The eldest member, Mrs. Inoue. She is 93 years old!
She joined the class with the other members, and she is so young and charming lady～

ヨガの後は、ご婦人方によるおいしいお昼ごはんを全員でいただきました。
After the class, we all had the homemade dishes which were cooked by the ladies.　It was so delicious!!!

みなさんおつかれさまでした。ありがとうございました！！！
"Good Job!" everybody!!! Thank you for the wonderful time!!

今日の午後は、室木小学校の修復した看板を取り付ける作業を嶋立さんと行いました。錆びて古くなってしまっていた看板もきれいになりました～♪

In the afternoon, we went to put up the signs which we fixed. The rusted and faded old signs were looking nice and new～♪
