午後になり雨が止み、ご近所の舟津ご夫妻のご好意により、餅つきを一緒にさせていただきました。もち米を蒸すための釜に火を焚くところから、実際に作業をしながら教えていただきました。

私たちにとっては小学校以来の餅つきでした。東京ではなかなか無かった機会なので、これもまた一つ鞍手での楽しい体験となりました。年末へ向け、小学校やその他でも餅つきの予定があるので、私たちも自信を持ってそちらにも参加したいと意気込んでます。

The rain stopped in the afternoon, and Mr. & Mrs. Funatsu invited us to make some Moch (rice cake). They tough us through every process from steaming the sticky rice to hand rolling into the individual pieces.

This is one of the Japanese tradition, but we don't see much in the big city anymore. This was another great experience in Kurate. There will be few more opportunities towards the end of year, so we are confident to be an additional hands!!!

大根おろしやきな粉、ヨモギ餅やあんこ入り。沢山の種類を作らせていただきました。つきたてのお餅は、本当に美味しかったです〜♬ ありがとうございました。

We made many flavors with grated Daikon radish, Kinako, wormwood and Anko (sweet red bean paste). The freshly made Mochi was so good〜♬ Thank you so much!!!

今日は室木小学校で行われた「あそびの森」に参加させていただきました。１１月のテーマは【木のおもちゃとピタゴラスイッチ】

北九州の「木のおもちゃ工房」よりお見えになった湯本桂ニ（ゆもとけいじ）さんは、車に沢山のおもちゃを積み、奥さまとご一緒に手作りおもちゃの素晴らしさを伝えるため、全国を廻る「おもちゃツアー」をされています。

We joined Asobinomori today. This month theme was "Hand made toys and Pitagora Switch"

Today's guest, Mr. Yumoto is from "Kinoomocha Koubou" in Kitakyushuu. He packs his toys in a van to travel all over Japan to introduce the fun of his hand made wooden toys.

低学年生は、湯本さんの手作りおもちゃで遊び、高学年生は班に分かれて、分解されたピタゴラスイッチの装置を協力して組み立てました。はじめは何度も失敗しながら、湯本さんのお友達の方々にもお手伝いいただき、最後は全員成功させることができました！

The lower graders played with Mr. Yumoto's hand made toys while the upper graders build up the Pitagora Switch" in groups. They tried so many times to make it work, but everyone have succeeded at the end!

手作りのおもちゃの素朴な温かみと、みんなで協力して完成させたスイッチ装置。今回もとても楽しいあそびの森でした。

With the fun of handmade toys and the switches which we build together, we had wonderful time at Asobinomori.

今日は、航空自衛隊芦屋基地で開催された芦屋航空祭2015へ行きました。私たちは、今回が初めての航空祭（エアショー）だったので、航空/輸送/戦闘機など様々な機体が間近で観ることができて、とても楽しかったです。

Today, we went to The Air Show 2015 at Ashiya Base. It was our first air show, and we were able to get close to so many air crafts. We had a lot of fun.

そして何と言っても飛行展示は、爆音とともに大迫力のパフォーマンスでした。特にブルーインパルスの息の合ったアクロバティックな飛行は最高でした！！！

The flying exhibitions were the best part of show/performances. Especially the acrobatic performance by Blue Impulse was so amazing!!!

そして、航空祭を観にいらしていた日高ご夫妻にもお会いし、お友達の山本修一・久子ご夫妻を紹介していただきました。お二人はハーレーダビットソンで国内外を走り続けるカッコイイご夫妻！テレビでも紹介されたお二人を以前に観ていたので、お会いできて感激でした！世界の風をきった、山本さんご愛用のライダースジャケットを着させていただき、みなさんと記念の一枚〜♬

We met up with Mr. & Mrs. Hidaka who also were at the show and we had chance to meet Mr. & Mrs. Yamamoto who are traveling all over the world on their Harley Davidson. We have seen them on one of the tv program which they have featured on, so it was a great surprise to run into them! Mr. Yamamoto let me put on his riders jacket〜♬

そして最後に、ブルーインパルスのワッペンを購入〜♬ We got a "Blue Impuls" patch at the end〜♬

鞍手に来て２年になるというジェフリー・ジョーダンさんとお会いしました。イギリスのロンドンからALT（外国語指導助手）として来日され、鞍手の小中学校で英語を教えていらっしゃいます。日本語も流暢で、とても気さくな好青年。きっと学校でもみんなの人気者です！

We had a chance to meet Jeffrey Jordan who has been living in Kurate for 2 years as Assistant Language Teacher. He teaches English at elementary and Jr. high schools in Kurate. He is friendly and very nice guy! His Japanese is amazing only after 2 years of being here. We are sure that everyone loves him in his classes! Nice to meet you, Jeff!!!

今日は、平成２５より鞍手町立室木小学校にて行なわれてきた「主体的に学ぶ子どもを育てる学習指導」の研究についての研究発表会に参席させていただきました。子供たちの自主的な「学ぶ力」と「学ぶ意欲」を育てる教育へ向けての先生と生徒、全員によるチャレンジ/努力の結果、そして経過が発表されました。

たくさんの方々がいらして、公開授業を参観されていました。

Today, we joined the research announcement on "the teaching program for development of the active learning and individual autonomy of student" which was held at Muroki Elementary School.

This research has been taking place at this elementary school since 2013, and the announcement was on the result/progress of the collective effort by the teachers and the student.

There were so many people to hear and to experience the program!

子ども達による六峰太鼓も披露され、参席された方々も皆さん感激されていました！

There was the Drum performance by the students, and everybody enjoyed the great performance!
