鞍手町移住体験ブログ

予報通り、午後は雨になりました。こちらへ来て約２週間。初めての雨の鞍手です。いつも見えている六ヶ岳も、すっぽりと雲に隠れてしまってます。乾いていた畑には、久しぶりの恵みの雨ですね。
As the today's forecast, it became rain in the afternoon. This is our first rain since we came to KURATE. Rokkoudake (the mountain behind our neighborhood) is completely covered by the rain clouds. This should be a nice shower for all the plants and vegetables!

夕方まで一時は激しく降ったものの、夕暮れ時には雨も上がり、最後にはキレイな夕焼けが見れました〜♬
The rain continued all afternoon, but it finally stopped by the sunset〜♬

ご近所の方々から頂いたお野菜を使って作った、今夜のメニューをお恥ずかしながらご紹介。

- 大根とイカの煮物
- ピーマンとナスの鳥そぼろ味噌炒め

地元のお野菜をたっぷりいただきました〜♬
ごちそうさまでした！

今夜のデザートは、我が家の庭の月夜柿です。「満月の時にだけ甘くなる」とご近所の方にお話を聞いていたので、この日を待っておりました！早速いただいてみました。芯の方は若干渋みがありましたが、とても甘くて美味しかったです〜♬ 何とも不思議な柿です。
For our dessert tonight, we had "Tsukiyogaki" This persimmons are usually very bitter (won't be able to eat,) but they become sweet on the full moon day/night. We had some off of the tree from our yard, and they were very sweet!!!

今日も、ご近所の方よりお野菜（大根と水菜です）や柿をいただきました〜♬ 地元の美味しい野菜や果物を毎日たくさん食べさせていただいてます。

We got some more local vegetables and fruits from our neighbor〜♬ We are sooo lucky to be able to have so much great local food!!!

この移住体験が始まってから、私たちが常に感じる鞍手町最大の魅力。それはここに住む方々の暖かさと、地域を支えている一人一人の「力」

この魅力をお伝えするため、私たちなりにこんな企画を考えてみました。

その名も「鞍手の手」
地元で働く地元の手。
鞍手を支える鞍手の手。

Since the beginning of our stay,
the warm and cheerful harts of local people have been our strongest impression of the town of Kurate.

In order for us to share this great charm of the town, we came up this idea 「The Hands of Kurate」

第二回目ご登場いただく方は、三宅 悟（みやけ さとる)さん。

最近お邪魔させていただいているログハウス建設の指揮をはじめ、その他様々なアイデアをどんどんと形にされているお方。「やればやれん事は無い！」とおっしゃる言葉には、とてつもない説得力を感じました。

お会いする度に、いつも笑顔で迎えてくださり「私は電気屋です。何かあればお申し出ください」と、オーバーオール姿でチェーンソーをブイーンブインさせている三宅さん。

山口県にある発電用の大風車の総合メンテナンスや、自ら設計された海水を飲料水に変える装置をハワイ島に設置されるなどなど、世界に大貢献されているもの凄いお方は、ここ鞍手についても、いつも真剣な眼差しで私たちに語ってくださいます。

私たちも負けてはいられません！！！

For the second time of 「The Hands of Kurate」 we would like to introduce Mr. Miyake.

He has been leading the log house project which we visited this last few days, and he continues to bring so many ideas in to reality!!! There is nothing could be more convincing when he says, "Nothing is impossible if we try!"

He always welcomes us with a big smile in a overalls with his chainsaw in his hand. However, on the other hand, he has been flying around the world to offer one of the best maintenance service for the wind farm in Yamaguchi prefecture or to build a machine on the Island of Hawaii that could transform the seawater into drinkable purified water.

He has been contributing so much to the world, but whenever he talks about the town of Kurate... we can still see the same passion in his eyes!!!
